Massage Therapy and
Tibetan KuNye External Therapies Program
The Massage Therapy and Tibetan KuNye External Therapies Program is a 900-hour, four-semester hybrid program which trains students in Western Massage Therapy and is also one of the most advanced trainings in Tibetan KuNye External Therapies currently offered anywhere in the U.S. or abroad. The program prepares students for professional practice, and meets revised guidance issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Board of Registration of Massage Therapy. Students will also have the opportunity to prepare for the national exam, the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLex).
The program features methodological training in Massage Therapy and in Tibetan KuNye gentle external therapies, foundation study in the core principles and theory of Tibetan Medicine, extensive hands-on practice, and preparation to employ these skills in the modern professional workplace.
The Shang Shung Institute of America is licensed as a Private Occupational School by the Division of Professional Licensure of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
